If a GP or another member of our healthcare team believes you need hospital treatment or specialist care elsewhere, they will ask you where and when you would like to go. The Practice Team can then book your appointment electronically while you wait.

If you would prefer to have some time to think before deciding where and when to have treatment, you will be offered the option of contacting the Practice later for support in making the appointment or the information sheet provided will advise on how to book your own appointment from home.
 

Patients with Particular Needs

Each of our surgeries is accessible to patients using a wheelchair. There is a parking space at Leeds Road Surgery, Nelson which is reserved for patients displaying a reserved sticker and there are disabled parking spaces at Rawtenstall and Padiham. Disabled toilet facilities and baby changing facilities are available at each surgery.
 

Travel Immunisations/Vaccinations

Patients will be required to complete a Travel Immunisation Questionnaire. Please request one from Reception. The completed forms will be reviewed by the Practice Nurse.

The Practice will then contact you to book an appointment if required. Kindly note that this process requires you to complete the form and return it to the Practice at least eight weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure that the immunisations/vaccinations are given in sufficient time to provide adequate cover.

A charge will be made for certain immunisations and vaccinations that are not covered by the NHS. A list of these changes is held at Reception.
